Thur (15.10.) Just a flight from Panettone in the morning. Some thermals allowed to fly almost 50'. Later in the afternoon I went back up to Panettone with the group, but didn't fly in the end...

Fri (16.10.) At 1020 we arrived already at Panettone; many pilots already there... The wind for launch has not been optimal, as well as the inversion has been well below launch. While the rest of the group went for a sledge ride, I have decided to wait for improvement...

It has been a nice week with good flying weather; I made only a flight per day, but for once I had gpretty good launches and good/ excellent landings (not a single one landing on my butt) ;-))

Finally around 1330, a steady south wind steped in and the cloudbase slowly raised above launch. The thermals above the hills and below cloudbase have been a bit bumpy, so I landed after 35'.

But I still have been pretty happy: a good launch as well as a very good landing ;-)

Sat (17.10.) Probably a flight would have been possible, but I left around 0830, heading home via Merano-Vinschgau-Münstertal-Ofenpass-Nationalpark and via Vereina (train). Luckily I could load as the very last car onto the train for the Vereina tunnel :-)) Vinschgau has been -as usual- on heavy traffic, so I lost about 45'. But weather wise it has been excellend.

Fr, 9.10. At first I have driven to Chur in Order to meet a class reunion (of my primary school in Arosa); Later I have driven via Ofenpass to Mals, where I have spent the night.

Sat, 10.10. Just driving to Semonzo (Bassano); staying at Hotel Garden Relais. No flying, as I hadn't slept well at Mals, but at least a Gelato :-)

Sun, 11.10. We met at 1000 for a breifing, then headed to Antenne Costalunga (East) - a nice (short) flight, but a bit too many pilots for this small launch... Many had to land at Semonzo-Paradisa, as they couldn't reach the Garden Relais-Landing due to East wind. I didn't make a scond flight, but those who did, reached Garden Relais this time, as the wind has weakend .

Mon / Tue: Both days permitted a flight from Panettone. Only one flight per day for me; the rest of the group made 2 or even 3 flights... On both days the thermals close to the hill have been a bit pumpy, but on Tue, above the LZ, there has been a realy nice and smooth thermal, which allowed a climb from 500m back up to > 1200m :-))

Wed (14.10.) At first we tried to launch at 'Casette' (little SW/ W-Wind) as on Panettone the W-wind has been too strong the whoe day. About 2/3 of the pilotes could launch (some times several attempts) the the wind turned mor to the S, so the rest of the group (inclouding me) stopped trying. Some then launched from Tapetti (me not).

Afterwards we have driven to Col Campeggio, a launch I have not used before here, but with a nice headwind I have made a decend TO on this somewhat flat launch. (And even a very good ldg for once...)
