Owens Valley / Bishop: windy :-((

Even though already in the morning some Lenicularis clouds had formed high over the mountains, Kari had hoped that the winds below would allow for a short flight off Flynns, so we met at 0915 at the LZ, Kari had brought along some local pilots: Cookie, Brian and Izzy, but the wind at launch was already too strong and also too cross...

So Kari proposed I'd go sightseeing in the nearby mountains: Lake Sabrina, North Lake and South Lake.

As the fcst said the winds should get less towards the evening, there might be a possibility to fly Chuck Bluffs, a southfacing cliff just north of Bishop, but: it shouldn't have been...

But apart from the 'non-flying' it has been a beautiful autumn day for exploring the vicinity of Bishop.
