CO'26 25.1. Calenton (Santa Fe de Antioquia)

Sun. After (again) a nice breakfast, we left for Fredonia, hoping to fly North towards Santa Fe de Antioquia. But the closer we came, the more it became clear that conditions wouldn't allow for more than an extended sledder. So we turned around and drove to Santa Fe, hoping for a flight from Calenton and be ready on launch, before the 'Pacifico' would set in.

As the pictures show, we made it in time and all got off, before the Pacifico would stop launches. But launching at 1330 still is (too) late and we'll be on launch much earlier tomorrow.

Calenton does not have an 'official' LZ, but there is a large filed below TO, which serves as a LZ, but it looks much 'better' (flatter) from the air than it actually is :-(

Besides a power line running along the lh edge of the field, there is also a small hill in the lower part of the field with a fence running across - so this made for an interesting app and ldg ;-)

Edinson, Michael and Gudrun also landed here, while Kari, Igor and Peter flew further over the town of Santa Fe and found a ldg option quite close to our hotel.

Dinner in town, but rather disappointing: slow service and overcooked meat :-((
