US'16 0618 - (Dinosaur)

As we had picked up a nail in our rear rt tire (probably taken, when driving down from the 'V'), we couldn't leave Lehi before it had been fixed. So Stacy came up from Richfield and joined us at 1000. We left the SLC area by way of Provo Canyon and drove via Heber, Duchesne to Vernal in Eastern Utah.
Here we met up Ryan, al local PG and PPG pilot who showed us the way to Dinosaur launch.
We had visited (but not flown this site in 2014. (see here)
It's quite a bit to get there: approx 65 miles/ 1h30' from Vernal or 30miles from the LZ. All in all we have driven today about 450km.

As we arrived on launch, the winds were still blowing > 30mph, so we waited.... and waited... and waited...
At 1900 we decided to call it a day as the winds hadn't really mellowed out ;-)
So we'll be back tomorrow morning by about 0830 hoping for a morning flight before it gets too strong.
