After 2 weeks on Lanzarote I moved with my friends Gaby and Hartmut to el Hierro.
But due to the bad weather on Teneriffe (-especially on the northern part of the island) it has been a somewhat cumbersome journey. We needed to fly from Lanzarote (ACE) to Teneriffe North (TFN), get our rental car there; drive to los Christianos (TFS) in oder to reach the Ferry to Valverde (VDE). But the flight arrived already 1 hour late. We finally left ACE 2 hours late, as the pilots have been waiting for the wx in TFN to improve (low cloudbase/ wind).

| first approach to TFN |
The first approach was aborted due to low cloudbase and with a total delay of 3 hours we landed finally in TFN on the second attempt. This left us only with a little more than an hour to get our car and reach the ferry in TFS. I was very relieved when we finally reached the harbour.

Arriving in VDE it was already pitch black and raining heavily; also thick fog made driving slow and difficult at times. Furthermore we had difficulty reaching our villa as the coordinates given to us by booking.com proved to be wrong :-( But in the end we finally arrived...
