US'22 (8.9.) - Skinny Ridge

With the winds changing to West in the course of the day, we drove up to Skinny Ridge, as there was a flyable window predicted from 1100 until about 1400. Unfortunately our GPS guided us initially on a wrong road. We'd probably reached launch also on this track, but about half way up it became very bad, so we decided to turn around, drive back to New Castle and find 'the normal' way to launch...

Luckily we had purchased some shears as it seemed that this year not many pilots had yet visited this launch. So after about 30' of cutting bushes etc we had a small, more or less clear area, where we could lay out our wings (one at a time). With the help of Andy and Stacy I had a good launch. But I never really got high, as the thermals have been thight and spicy... Stacy could hang on a little longer and got a few times about 300m over launch; Andy has been driving.
